Greetings and happy almost-end-of-summer.

This site has loads of fabulous info and I certainly enjoy the photos of what others are up to. Plenty of ideas for someone planning a new garage.

Starting to plan a house addition and want to have basement as garage so would be interested in hearing from anyone who has any experiences in underground residential garages, particularly ventilation, entry ramps and draining comments.

Welcome! Used to live in Montreal and that place is famous for down ramp garages. Usually no problem until it really rains, so do plenty when it comes to drainage.

Had a new house there that had open ditches along side the road and if it really rained, the water over flowed that ditch into my garage. The one and only experience I had with a basement garage.
