Hello from Salt Lake City

Hi there - new user here...name is Ed, from Salt Lake City (actually, I'm "from" Georgia, but I moved to SLC 5 years ago). When I moved here, I bought an old remodeled 1949'ish house in a great neighborhood, with a 1949'ish detached garage that the previous homeowner basically just put lipstick on - otherwise, it's in shambles. For the past 5 years, I've dreaded going to my garage. Finally, the day has come that I have demolished that old garage, and am in the process of building a brand new one, which hopefully will become my new refuge. As seems to be par for the course, I'm already running into some issues with the construction, which is what led me here to ask a few questions...there will probably be more to come . Eventually, I hope to join in the revelry about discussing my awesome new garage, and what I'm doing in there, etc. Thanks for having me...

Welcome to the Forum from Southwestern California. One person’s small garage could be another person’s palace.

I feel fortunate to be able to have my workshop in a Two Car garage that my son gets to park his car in.

Others feel that their Pole Barns are no where large enough for their needs.
