Hi, all. First day, first post. Probably won't be the last.
I'm not building my garage. Finally got around to finishing the one I've had attached to my small house for the past 20 years. I'm doing most of the work myself, but farming out the plumbing and some of the electrical.
May garage is small - only 400 sq. feet, but I see enough room to set up a nice corner work area for my model airplane hobby, greatly improve the storage and organization of tools and household stuff, give the Mrs. a nicer little laundry area and still park the old car in there too.
The plumber is going to remove the water heater, re-plumb with new copper for the sink relocation, heater and house supply and re-plumb the gas supply for dryer relocation. Then I'll move in to insulate, drywall, texture and paint. Then he'll re-install the water heater. The electrician is doing main panel upgrade from 100 amp to 125 - new box, buss and breakers and a few 20 amp circuits to garage for my compressor and other stuff.
Still not sure what to do with the floor yet. I used to work on cars in this garage so the floor's got some really bad areas.
Anyways, that's kind of where I'm going with this project, one weekend at a time. See you all in other threads.
