Hi all,

I've spent way too much money on car repairs in the past and can't afford to keep doing so. When I bought my last car I joined an owners club and the advice they've given has helped me have the confidence to tackle more jobs myself.

I bought a few decent tools 15 years ago and they're as good as new so I view good tools as a long term investment. They are costly though so I've joined here to benefit from the excellent knowledge you guys have.

Cheers!

Hehe, I can be quite tight fisted and I do love a bargain but I'm a great believer in the words of John Ruskin:
“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When
you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay
too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you
bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.”

That's my best excuse for buying shiny new tools!
