Im in south east Illinois, work at a lumber yard/hardware store by day and am a P.O.C firefighter at night.

Must be nice living south. White sands and palm trees, right? I'm further north in Illinois. Igloos and moose up here and an occasional polar bear.

well i dont know about the white sands and plams (my wife does love a trip to destin fla, its only 11 hr drive for me, Chicago is about 6 i think. ) but it has been colder than balls here this winter and we're looking at our second 6+ snowfall for the year, odd for us but better than the 3 inches of ice we had this time last year. Try fighting a structure fire with 2 inches of sleet on the ground and still coming down!
I just heard about the LT. gov thing tonight. had a bit of local drama going on with a coke dealer and a sheriff in a neighboring county first getting busted dealing out of his cop car then trying to get his wife to cap off witnesses. Yep dem some dum people!
Im not quite as far a Cairo, thats as far south as you can get in Illinois and its an hour from me!
Went to teh father in laws to watch the "big game", didnt really care who won but now i can rub faces tomorrow at work!
