I'm Scott and I am a new member. Really been enjoying this site.
I grew up with IH Scouts and Oldsmobiles so that is my addiction. I'm also on the lookout for International Harvester tools. Look forward to asking a few questions and even leaving some knowledge for everyone else.

Welcome. I am a SD native(if that isn't obvious by my handle), "stuck" in Oklahoma. Grew up in Sturgis. Where are you located?

I lived in Watertown until I was 9 (which was 30+) years ago, and occasionally get up to Webster to deer hunt. I even remember a field trip to Fort Sisseton in elementary school.

Went to Lake Area Tech in Watertown (1997 grad). Its a nice town that's really grown over the last ten years. I don't deer hunt but I do varmint hunt.

My dad just retired from the game fish and parks. He hunted coyotes for a living....not bad work if you can get it... :)

Thanks for the welcome SoDakSooner. I am from Sisseton (far northeast corner of the state)

Let me guess. Your first year out of high school you went to SDSU, you grew up on a ranch/farm, and your last name starts with a "C".

Am I close?

Well I was born and raised in Sisseton and only knew one Scott who drove a Scout. Heck... I think there was only one Scout in the entire town. I'd say it was a lucky guess, but in a town that small it wasn't too hard!

I was in your class up until Sophomore year when I moved to Mitchell. Ran into you a few times up at SDSU in 94. My first name is Craig... my old man used to manage the Cenex in town.

Glad to hear your interest in the Scouts hasn't faded. I still remember that one you drove back in high school. Do you still have that thing around? I remember you always treated it right so it wouldn't surprise me to learn it is still in service.

My first Scout is still with me. 180,000+ miles and still runs strong. Been re-painted about 1997. This year it will get a 4" lift and 33" tires. My avatar is a Scout I bought a couple years ago. 22,000 actual miles and is all original.:) It was the service rig at the dealer in Wilmot.
