Hello everyone. I've been a lurker on this site for a couple of months now, and have been reading about different kinds of vises. Yesterday I scored a 9450 Wilton marked "Made in Chicago", for $75 (I found on Craig's List) and I'm thankful for all the help I received by reading the threads on the Garage Journal.

How many GJers get that honor with the first reply to their first post?

Thanks for the honor Garage Dog.The vise is in real nice shape,with a date of 9-51.

You remind me of the guy who has never been hunting in his life goes out and bags that once in a lifetime buck his first time out. He may as well never hunt again because he will probably just get totally frustrated to never reach that level again hunting year after year of not finding another monster buck...

Did you read every read the article about "Swamp Donkey" the 14-point buck in Ramsey taken by an archery hunter in his first 15 minutes of hunting in his life. Google it, it is worth the read if you bow hunt.

So you should retire now with the trophy Wilton and let a few of us mere mortals have a chance at a few.

What other toys with that Wilton be sharing space with in the garage?

Right now it's going to be sharing some space with our 1962 Nova. I have to replace the U joints on it, that's why I needed the vise.

Garage Dog, as for big bucks this is the biggest one I've come accross. These pics. are from a 30 minute video I took over 4 days of this big buck.
