Found this forum while searching for info on log splitters. Would like some advice on the best combination to use to rebuild an older splitter I have. I've got a 8hp Briggs horizontal shaft and a 14.5 Briggs verticle shaft. A 11gpm 2stage pump and a 16gpm pump. One cylinder is 6x31 and one is 4x24. I can make the hydraulic tank any size I need. What would be the best combo to use to put together one splitter? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
