Hello from East Tennessee.
Just purchased a new home and got a nice bonus garage with it!
It is a large 28 x 40 garage. One side is two stories with 9 foot ceiling in the bottom. The other is a large RV storage with 16ft ceiling.
I don't own a RV and don't plan on having one anytime soon so I am going to turn that into a nice workshop/garage with a 2 post lift in the back. I currently have a 67 VW bus and a 76 Toyota Corolla wagon that I am working on. I plan on making good use of this garage!
Unfortunately the previous owner didn't have roof trusses built so the middle wall is load bearing. I plan to open at least 20 foot of that wall so I can go in between the two stalls. I know I need to have a floor truss built to accomplish this. Also I am leaving the 2nd story for storage.
I am going to be asking for help on proper lighting because the current lighting stinks!
