Hello from Texas

Bought an eye sore of a pole barn about a year ago. My plan is to refurbish into a workshop for auto restoration and miscellaneous wood/metal projects. The property is a 10-15 minute drive from my house just outside Fort Worth city limits. Having fun with it so far. Learning a great deal from this forum…very grateful to those who contribute and share their knowledge. Maybe I can add a thing or two of lessons learned along the way.

Appreciate the welcomes! A few more details about the property…

Spent the first several months after purchase repairing/updating a rental house that also sits on the property. I have separate access to the pole barn from the main road. The barn sits at the back of the property.

The workshop area is 40’ x 60’ with two separate bays and ~18’ ceiling. The west side has an add-on office and separate storage room. A “lean-to”, small mobile office and RV cover are on the east side.

Overall plan is to refurbish the workshop interior (electrical, insulate, etc.), add all the essentials (compressor, lift, tools, etc.), remove the lean-to and mobile office… install a paint booth in their place.
