name is bob i am a old tool collector,have been for two years.however when you collect and buy by the box lots you collect more than you need. what do you do with all the stuff that has collected itself in your garage that you are not really collecting .i do not collect tools because of price and know little about the value of my collection. i collect pieces that look interesting.i like monkey wrenches and have over 60 of them. i also like folding rules,small tap and dies sets,and old pliers. but i am unable to determine the value of tools and would take any suggestions as to where to look thank you bob w

Any commodity is only worth what someone is prepared to pay on that particular day. For your excess I'd list them on eBay and let them go for what they go for.

As far as buying is concerned, well - how much would you be willing to pay?
Set that as your limit and there you go!
