I'm Robert from the Netherlands. I've been lurking for a while and now I also want to actively use the forum, but it's nice to introduce myself first.
I have become a tool enthusiast for about 8 years now. Like most here I think I've been working for a lot longer but with cheap tools, especially on cars.
Like most people here I think, I already had tools but only of cheap poor quality. Ratchets, sockets, bits it broke and I was sick of that.
I started with a Stahlwille ratchet that I found in my grandfather's garage, that ratchet survived (not suprised). I had no idea what the brand or quality was until I googled it later. It is retired now but is still in the box. I'ill post a pic of it later if there is interest.
My first purchases were 2 socket sets from Facom, 1/2 and 3/8. Later I replaced the 1/4 one for Gedore Red.
During the same period I bought a set of Wera screwdrivers.
Now a few years later the collection consists of Facom, Gedore Blue, Gedore Red, Stahlwille, Wera, Belzer, Sonic, Proxxon, Knipex etc.
I mostly have power tools from Hitachi/Hikoki.
I hope to find more enthusiasts of the European brands here.
