Hello from the Tidewater.

I just figured I would introduce myself. I hail from the Tidewater, AKA Hampton Roads (South Eastern Virginia). I am currently an Aviation Maintenance Technician, but have in the past worked as an: Outside Machinist (Shipyard), Systems Support Analyst (IT, Manufacturing), and Handyman (Home Repairs & Remodels). I hope to learn from those in my current field of employment and have he ability to assist those who need assistance in any of my previous endeavors. I have learned quit a fair amount in just the short while I have been reading these Forms

I grew up in Hampton. Which shipyard did you work at? I worked at NNS for several years before coming to my senses and moving to Tennessee.

There are no tunnels and no bridges around here!

Norshipco ( Norfolk Shipbuilding & Dry Dock) prior to their purchase by US Marine Repair. They are now owned by BAE Systems. Spent 13 years in that mud hole and they paved the dam thing and planted palm trees after I was layoff. Go figure.

AH the traffic, yes it gets worse by the day. The bridges and tunnels are heavily neglected, the state decided to spend the tax money on the roads around northern VA (DC).
