Hi folks,

I've had an interest in quality tools and learning how to use them correctly for a long time.

I recently decided to teach myself gunsmithing which has only intensified my interest. Right now and for the foreseeable future it's purely on the hobbyist level, and something to do with my evenings. But one side benefit is that it gives me a perfect excuse to BUY NEW TOOLS! :rocker:

I work with computers for my career, which I do truly love, and I realized that I have a real need to do something physical, with my hands. And that learning several new skills is just the thing to really reignite my passion for life.

My grandfather, who I lived with as a kid, had a basement workshop, and I was always in awe of his ability to turn what seemed like junk into working and nice-looking items. But being a typical rebellious teenager, I didn't see eye to eye with him in his later years, and didn't grasp the real value of what he could do. So to some extent this is my way of showing him the love and respect he deserves.

Thanks for having me.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

My shop area, and at the moment it's more area than shop, is due for some major decluttering and cleanup this weekend. I promise not to wait until it's "perfect" (AKA never) before coming up with some photos. ;)
