I have to say this is a great site with lots of dedicated people to making there dream reality.
Moved to Alaska in March of 1970 when I was 6 months old from Washington. I did not like the weather there.
I am an oil field employee that simply likes to tinker on vehicles and build things.
I bought my house in 2005 for a few reasons. The first was a 40' x 60' detached shop that has two 12'w x 10'h overhead doors next to each other that has a center piece that can be lifted up to accomidate approx 25' of opening. It also has a full bath, a full kitchen with a seperate washer and dryer and a 12' x 18' room used as a workout room. There is a loft above that room and the and bathroom.
The house has it's own 30' x 26' three car garage. That would be reason #2.
