...and when I say Upstate, I don't mean Westchester. I mean Adirondack foothills, Schenectady area.
I just bought this garage on one acre, 100 ft of road frontage in a rural residential area.
200 amp Electrical entrance,it's about 32 x 40, the big sliding door is 15' wide by 12' high, haven't measured the peak yet, but it looks to be about 22 ft.
I'm planning a lift, a small basic machine shop (lathe/bridgeport), and a 2nd story woodshop in the upper/lower bay section.
I'm planning a slimmer high bay with a 12 ft ceiling section for the lift, with loft storage above the approach, as I plan on installing the 2-post lift in the back corner, with a dedicated 8 ft door. I can't see rolling anything taller than 8 ft in here, unless I score a deuce-and-a-half or some chunk of old iron. Currently, I've got a '89 Jeep Sahara project, a '62/'69 dune buggy project, a '06 Mustang GT, and eventually want to build a Hot Rod.
I've never really joined a forum before. I'm excited about sharing ideas.
Whaddaya think?
