Like many others...I stumbled on to this site looking for some sort of info on something.
Anyways, I've read through the forums for awhile and finally took the time to join.
There is a LOT of great info on here, and sometimes I find myself going in all different directions when I get on here...really interesting stuff.
I'm 39 yrs. old and live in Upstate NY close to Albany. I recently started converting the two car garage into a more "working" and organized space. I had a side business for about 10 years or so doing home remodeling and maintenance. I work in multi-media for a full time job.
I've always done basic auto maintenance and repair on my vehicles, but decided to try and take on a motorcyle restore project recently...which led to the garage re-organization so I could work more efficiently.
I was never a garage or estate sale kind of guy. I was always looking to get rid of junk, why would I want somebody else's stuff....but my wife and I stopped at a moving/barn sale one day this fall and I came across an old portable tool box FULL of tools (mostly USA sockets and wrenches) for like $20... I was hooked!
Over the next few months, I have acquired most of my garage storage shelving, cabinets and tools and chests from either garage sales or C'list.
I need to post some pics of my latest found treasure somewhere on here if I can. I love reading stories and pics of those great used tool finds.
Anyways, glad I joined and will be visiting regularly.
