Hello everyone. My name is Jason. My wife and I sold our condo that had only an open car port and upgraded to a colonial style home on an acre with an attached garage.

We are still in the unpacking and moving chaos but I've been a creeping on this forum for a while getting ideas for my garage.

I'll start by giving you a little background on myself. My father is a Ford man. He has a 1934 Ford tudor that he has had since the age of 14 (now 65) as well as a few other gems like a 1952 F1 (his daily summer driver) and a 1930 Model A tudor sedan. I'm hoping when my father is finished the resto on his '34 that we can tackle the Model A together. I have a basket case Ford Bronco that i have been wanting to swap the drive train into the A and do a chopped rat style car. Of course this will be done in his shop as mine will never compare!

He built a nice 28x32 shop to tinker in when i was young. Its heated and has a full second story for storing parts and such. A while back he found a deal on a 2 post lift and that has been nice. I worked at a high end body shop while i was going to college and got a lot of body work experience on top of the mechanical stuff i learned from my father.

I went a bit left of center with my interests in cars though. While i love the old Fords and drive them as much as possible i really love European stuff. I've had several VW's and Audi's. My 1964 Beetle was my first car. My father and I restored it together when i was in High School.

I'm lucky to have my parents house and garage to use but i'm excited to get mine set up to have a project going at my home instead of having to drive somewhere to work on something. I'm also excited to have some sense of organization in my garage as well. My fathers shop is more old school (piled wrenches in drawers, random posters covering all wall space etc) I really like what some of you have done with your shops. I'ts going to be a slow moving battle for me but i'll try to update my thread about my garage as i get things accomplished. Thanks for reading!

Jarms: sounds like you are moving in the right direction from a condo and carport to a home with a shop. plenty of things on your plate sounds like and happy to have another handy member join our forum.

can you post any pictures of yours or your dad's cars or the new home to add some color to your thread here?

ask questions here if you have any on how to post pictures or how to use the forum or enjoy reading the threads and ask questions if you have any on them.

welcome
