I signed up a couple years ago just to ask a member a question but haven't posted since. Semi retired heavy equipment operator-farmer-handyman with no less than three full sets of hand tools and a strange addiction. I'd like to participate in some of the discussions and think I would have a different perspective to add to some.

Thanks for the greeting Midnight America. Fortunately I live on the south end of town which wasn't hit. They say 40% of our tax base is gone so I don't think our town will ever be the same. Our mayor has really stepped up and doesn't want us to lose our small town values in the rebuilding process.

Glad you're here. I grew up near Pekin, IL and had art lessons in Washington Square with a woman named Mrs. Lombard. After lessons we would go to the baseball card shop. Went to ICC as well. I love Washington and hope to move there some day soon to raise my kids.
