Good Morning Guys!

I am a hobby/hack machinist and DIY'er who is currently looking to purchase my first house, with a garage or shop (or space to build one) being the #1 priority.

My current project is retrofitting my bench top mill into a small CNC mill.

I've been reading through here for a while, so I figured I should join and contribute when I can. Thanks to all who have posted so far! This place is a great resource.

DK: nice pictures and happy to hear you already have been reading about the things you want to learn more about. now that you are a member you can read and post questions or answers if you have wisdom to share.

i'm only a half hour drive, but i do old school tools so far so I can't help much with the machinist stuff. there are quite a few machinists on this forum in case you didn't already know.

ask questions if you need help with the forum here or enjoy the reading and learning (and teaching).

drivesitfar, I definitely found a lot of useful info here regarding USA made tools, as I recently decided to upgrade. So far so good - this the go-to place on the web for info on quality tools.

This last weekend I got a few more parts done for my CNC retrofit.
