Hi im new to this Forum. I am building a New Shop still wondering if in floor heat is good?? I read all the posts and came away more confused than before. Some say good on costs other says 800 Gallons Propane a month>?? I have to do more reading i guess. It gets cold here sometimes -35 or maybe a -40 day or two. Any tips hints appreciated. I am building a airboat this winter in my New Shop just because i really want one. Later Mike

Hi madman, welcome to the forum. You might want to ask your question in the heat/cool section, but FWIW, everyone that has hydronic heat wonders how they ever lived without it. The operational costs really come down to how well the system is designed and how efficient (read: insulated) your building is. Of course local concerns such as the price of fuel factor in here as well.
