I'm new to any type of lathe operation. Always thought lathes were WAY cool
I work on motorcycles, autos, and just about anything! The need for special bushings, axles, and such justified the purchase of a Craftsman Dunlap 109 0702, with NO threading gear change set.

Hey, my 109.0702 has NO planetary gear. Is there a thread that explains this ?

Just wondering what community you're in, I grew up in an Erie Canal community west of Rochester, and as kids we used to go hunting for all the lures we lost, and others lost, when the canal was drawn-down. Swimming in that silty water in the summer, I dreamed of what it must be like to swim on a tropical barrier coral reef, and now I can do it anytime.
