Hi. Thanks for adding me to this forum. I'm a DIY guy (when I can), who is in the planning stages of building a workshop and a rec room. I stumbled across this forum that is full of advice and inspiration.

My current plan is to build a 32x32x16 workshop that will have two 10x12 overhead doors, and a two post lift. The other bay will eventually have a four post, but for now, the budget only allows one lift.

The 24x24x10 rec room will have a bar, 5x5 table, and a pool table. Nothing too fancy at this point, just a place to hang out in.

Thanks again

My only caution is that some places become too pretty to work in.

My wife, Mrs Nadogail, decided that my workshop should have an Epoxy floor, it was very pretty when new but the burnt spots from my experiments in Arc Welding soon created problems.

She now avoids going into my workshop.

Welcome to the forum. When we built our shop/garage we just sealed the concrete because it will get a 4 post lift that we will use to do maintenance on our vehicles, finish my 69 Mustang & at times it will get dirty.
