Stumbled on GJ while looking for information on putting a heater in my shop.

I am a machinist by trade, and my favorite activities out in my shop are various metal fab projects, and working on cars. I do all my own vehicle maintenance and repair. I also have a '66 Jeep CJ5 in the middle of a frame-off build, and a '37 Chevy Standard Sedan sitting in the corner, waiting to be a retirement project.

My shop is a 24x48 pole building. I have been making do for the last 10 years, but this year I'm going to put in a propane unit heater, so I can continue to tinker through the fall and winter. For those not familiar with western Washington, we have 10 months of fall, and 2 months of winter here... (see username )

Shop has been a work in progress for the 10 years since I built it. Gradually got it well lit, insulated some, and equipped with such things as a 9k lb. 2-post lift, a small lathe and small round-column mill, 5 hp compressor, and Stick, TIG and Plasma equipment.

Looking forward to lurking here a bit, and learning from y'all's experience!

Welcome to the forum, are you near that "Special CRUD" Zone in Seattle?

Nope. Lots of water between me and there. I don't go to Seattle anymore. My daughter used to live there, but moved to northern Idaho last year. I'm SO glad she got out of that cesspool...
