Hey guys, newbie here, younger guy at 22, but bigtime tinkerer.
Picked up some property here to work on in the middle of nowhere Saskatchewan, and am planning on having me a decent sized shop in the near future.
Currently debating whether or not to build something small behind the trailer on the half-acre lot (26x30 or so in size) Or to start out and build something big from the get go (I.E 40x80) or something.
trying to find a copy of the Canadian building codes currently, as well as figure out what to do for a foundation here as the soil is sandy and the frost line is deep, as well there is a great potential for subsidence in the area in 20-30 years as the mine under me it de-pillars and drops everything a few feet.
where is the best place to post about discussing some different foundation options?
