Hi folks. Been registered on here for a long time but have never posted. I'm over next door on the HAMB but stopped by here today in Hope's of finding the solution to a garage question. Name is Lee Bearror in Jensen Beach, Florida. I'm fortunate to have a 24' x 40' garage that is stufed full of early Ford junk, my driver '32 Ford and two projects. Right now my goal is to reclaim some floor space and find the top of my work bench that I haven't seen in a long time. In other words get organized. I'm going to do a search on my question of the day and see what I can find. "How to treat - coat the top of my metal work bench but not with paint. Maybe some type of oil based product." Glad to be here.

Lee

Hi Lee, welcome to the madness. :)
You will get a huge number of suggestions on this topic so I'll throw mine in the hat.
Google "Fast Etch". It is sold by Eastwood. It is an excellent surface rust remover and it leaves a phosphate coating to protect the metal from further rust. Working on old Fords you will probably have a use for it in the shop anyway.
Check out this thread. :)
