Hi, everyone! Stumbled onto this forum when looking some stuff up about vintage tools. Got my dad's old Herbrand 1/2 inch drive ratchet at least, and started buying some Bonney tools and also some SK tools, started to build up a collection. Wow, this forum is great I thought, especially after reading the listing about restoring the old '56 Chevy Pickup truck. I've always loved old Chevies, and I'd love to have one, maybe a '61 Biscayne with a 409, dual quads, and a 4 speed, that'd be nice, haha, not in my cards right now though, lol. I'll settle for an inline 6 and three on the tree. I was looking at an old Peugeot the other day, a 404 which is what we had when growing up, the only car model to ever win 3 African rallies in the 1960's, that thing actually had a 4 speed manual on the tree, pretty much the opposite of a '61 Biscayne though, I still dig those old Peugeots and Alfa Romeos as well. I've become obsessed with tools since I started doing my own maintenance on a couple of old motorcycles I own, a 1970 Triumph and a 1966 Lambretta (really a scooter but it is 200 cc though). Working on old stuff is very good medicine for the stresses of modern day life I've learned! And of course you have to have plenty of tools to work on that old stuff, right?? Cheers all .. Jason from NYC.
