Just a short Hello from the boonies of Idaho.From watching this site for a while, I figured out there are some really smart people here. Guys (and gals?) who got their garage/shop/shed/lean-to act together. I wanna be one of those guys. So in the spirit of education (namely mine), I am posting a big pain in the **** question, and hope there are a lot of good ideas to make this happen relatively inexpensively.
I bought the property in question in March of 2013 and used it for a rental until I retired in July 2014 and moved in. It has an 1800 sq. ft. house and a separate 24'X60' shop. Which is at least 75% of the reason I bought it. It's on 5 acres, which I have no clue what to do with, pretty typical farm/ranch/dairy/whatever property. Other than the obvious lack of knowledge about such things (I was born and raised in Los Angeles), I am also a car freak. Started street racing in L.A. in 1965.
So, I have this shop that is slowly but steadily shrinking because I keep gaining cars. I need to expand on what I have until I can build more shops.
In summary, this is the hello part. I am going to post the "need ideas" part in "General Garage Discussion" Oh yeah, there will be pics.....
