Ever been to the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners?
A couple of times, once for a vintage motorbike show (we rode to that one on the '59 Eagle) and another time we took the '51 Merc down to a car show. It's a nice day trip from home. I think the best memory is the hood ornament exhibit that was there, not sure if it still is ..

A wealthy Detroit area auto dealer gave the museum his collection of Lalique hood ornaments for display, they re-did the exhibit space for the CCCA and the radiator mascots. I was there for the re-opening of the building, and it was quite the place to be, I saw a Duesenberg, a Cord 810, and an Auburn supercharged Speedster (below) all 'the real-deal,' not fiberglass replicas, driven to the re-opening. This pic shows the CCCA Building in the background.

A beautiful Lincoln Continental 2-dr with a formal roofline. I believe it's a 1940.
