It’s a bit chilly here recently, but that isn’t stopping my garage build. northern MN at my lake cabin. 30X40 with in attic room. Have it roughed in for in floor heat, plumbing and water. Just finished installing the 8 and 16 ft garage doors. Shingles are on and just pulled elec permit for 100 amp service. Hope to store stuff, weld and do woodwork projects. Not in too much of a hurry, but want to avoid pitfalls that are so easy to make. Any suggestions on elec and lighting would be awesome. Or on what to do and not to do.
My wife says I like projects.

Welcome to the GJ.

Would you please update a location to something better than 56473.

In future you may find that helps you when you have specific questions that affect you. Specially given the forum has a very global membership. Often you will find subjects may get different answers depending on locations and regulations.

Welcome from the Iron range!

If I had the chance to build new, in our part of the country, I would build with 6" walls for plenty of insulation.
If I were you I would strongly consider 200 amp electrical service.

Good luck with the build and post up pictures and progress!
