Hello! Newby in Missouri here

Hello to the board! I'm getting ready to retire from the military and the wife and I are scouting out land. We want to build a simple 1900 sq ft ranch and of course i want a mega garage/man cave /shop too.

Looking for ideas from those that may have gone into such a project where they built the dream garage before the house and used the garage as a temporary living area. Hopefully looking to have the necessities , but "convertible" after the house is built to merge into the shop, rather than leaving a separate living area.

Love the site so far. Tons of good ideas and advice from members!
