Hello to everyone! I have been following a number of threads on here for a while and finally need to take the first post plunge.
I have been trying to piece together a frankenpressor from a number of dead units (emglo ku, GE 1.5hp motor and 100lb propane tank) when I came across a oldie tucked under a bush in a field. I can not post any pictures at this time but I was hoping someone can help me determine what I have based on what little info I can read off of the data plates.
Pump: model 214 2
Sn# 846065-L
2.75x2
Motor: Baldor (maybe, this tag has seen some heat)
36D11-378
1.5hp
Tank: westeel rosco
20 gallon SWP 200psi
Sn#474181-99
I have the impression that the tank was made in western Canada.
My research points me towards the pump being a Quincy model 214 2 cylinder.
The motor has a rebuild tag from a local (Calgary) company named James Electric, I have used them with work (electric scissor and boom lifts, I am a heavy mechanic) and have always been happy with their work.
Any insight would be great, I am tearing the pump apart after work tomorrow to check the cylinder bore condition and would love to know if I will be able to find piston rings and crank bearings.
I have been really impressed with how friendly and helpful everyone here is, I am looking forward to contributing to this great group.
