Good morning all,
In my searching for the planning of building a new garage, I came across this site, after lurking for a while and reading some great info, I felt compelled to join.
Currently I have a 1 car garage that is quite small, and compact. I have several hobbies that require tools and space which has me bouncing between a basement work shop, my garage, and a friends warehouse shop (for the large projects.)
As mentioned, I am in the infancy of planning to build a new garage in the rear of my property, I am currently trying to nail down a design. I am thinking 30x35 foot print with a second floor loft. Something that can fit two trucks, a motorcycle and still have some room for fabbing equipment and working space. The loft I would like to outfit with a computer, TV and small work space for my smaller, more condensed hobbies like building fishing rods for example.
Thanks for all the contributors that have posted great articles that have made my work productivity very low the past couple weeks. I anticipate adding some information, and asking lots of questions.
