almost forgot an intro thread...
Hi everyone. I'm Russell and I have too many projects... oh wait wrong meeting...or maybe the right one?
I work for Cummins testing engines on the dyno (sitting about 5 feet from a 15l rumbling away at full load right now). Went to school for tech theatre for 4 years then switched to automotive tech for another 4, finally ending with a BAS in auto tech. Married last summer, wife had a in January, and now that the medical bills from that are done coming in (holy ****!) we're closing on a house next week with a decent size garage: 24x40 steel building, well insulated, 4x4 studs, good thick slab. not sure of the exact measurement but built to hold skidsteers and the like.
I've been browsing bit mainly looking for tips and tricks on lighting and heat/AC. It has 8 75w incandescant bulbs now and no heat/AC. Already has it's own panel T'ed off the meter when the building was built in '05 (house in '00)
As for the pojects, other than the house and garage, include
'90 toyota cressida with a manual swapped in and warmed up engine (needing more engine work, suspension, and some other bits),
'90 toyota pickup DD getting thoroughly gone over this summer,
'94 firebird LT1 6 speed that's staying stock because it's in great condition
2 '77 suzuki bikes (GS400 and GT185) that need major work or to be sold
'90 suzuki VX800 DD bike
Wife drives an auto protege5...boring.
