Hi, my name is Mark and I'm a garage/tool junky.
I can't believe I've only just found this site considering how much time I spend in my garage and thinking about the "stuff" I do there.
I've been absolutely blown away by the posts I've read so far, especially 1/2 Cup's adventures.
I'm currently trying to finish off my Triumph Tr7 V8 race car which was supposed to only take 1 year but is now in its 3rd year and let's not get started on the "budget". The good part is that with exception of major panel work and paint it's all been done in-house and by me.
Of course, having a very supportive wife has helped enormously but I have learnt over the years that tool purchases can create the odd raised eyebrow and muttering. I've found that it always helps to keep a stash of brownie points up the sleeve and have a ready made justification speech ready at such times.
The garage is a pretty standard brick double attached to the house and the following photos were taken some time back. There have been some additions here and there but you get the drift.
All the cabinets were made out of welded up square tube with the doors being a mix of singles, bi-folds and sliders, square tube frames and ply facings attached to hidden tabs. The one next to the bar fridge houses my Mig and pressure washer.
As I said these were made some time back and despite my best efforts it's never looked this good since but I keep blaming it on the amount of "stuff" needed to finish this project.
The next major spend will probably be some sort of lift for the cars but that's a whole 'nuther story.
Cheers and I look forward to many hours staring at this site on my monitor.
