hot rod: you've got a big project in front of you especially if you don't have a general contractor you trust to use. there are so so many great garage build threads might i suggest starting to read and keep reading and ask questions if you think you didn't understand something.

building on your side of the US i hear is a bit easier than the PNW where you have to get permission to cut a tree in your own yard in some areas.

good luck and welcome to the forum.

cheers

Thanks for the good input drivesitfar I work for a general contractor that sell metal buildings but I don't know if I want to go steel/ stick or pole barn I still got to get up with the zoning and building permeant office to see how big and all of the other good stuff but I want to be able to put a lift in it and have the room to do a off frame build in it and to store other vehicles in it all at the same time and a lean-to to put my camper under

put it to paper and make a plan and you'll do fine. also if you ask how big should i build it most members will say how much can you comfortably build and afford it and make it a little bigger than that.

cheers
