Hello from MN. Grandma who does her own brake jobs. Tried to teach my hubby so I’d be off the hook. Wiley critter is always busy when the brake jobs come up! Currently need help on my floor jack:
This thing has got to be from the 60s. I’m trying to find the plug where the fluid goes. I think it’s up front by the gear. So I need to know the best way to take it off, if it is. And then I need to know how not to compromise the deal please?
Unless you know a good way to jack up a Durango with a jack that doesn’t go too high. CLUE: The answer is NOT: On the frame.
This jacks up the SUV and the tire stays on the ground due to the suspension.
Just inside the tire? Thoughts please! Need it done today to use it tomorrow and the sun is going down. Don’t let the sun go…never mind. Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum from Southwestern California.

Sorry but Minnesota is too far away for me to get there before Sundown.

Darn. Here’s what it looks like now. Dark out. Checking brakes as they are “stuttering”. Figures I do tons of brake jobs and this is on my last day of vaca!

Working with the smaller floor jack. It’s not tall enough to jack up the Durango and get the tire off the ground. I have to put a piece of wood on it! The big one stopped working. Hubby says: what did you do to it?
What on earth do you think I could have done?? LOL! Seriously!
