Hey everyone, I'm new here, I first stumbled upon the site when I was looking for more information about finishing garage floors. My wife, daughter, and I just moved into our new house in October, so I'm already thinking about what I'm going to do with it once all the boxes disappear. Our home is an alley-style home built by DR Horton, and it's got a 2-car garage, but it's not the deepest.
Where do I start? I don't like how garage walls come unfinished with all the seams paint grids over the seams, so I was thinking of painting the walls and then moving onto finishing the floor. Also, I'm looking for some storage, hopefully something that's raised enough so it doesn't take any of the little depth away. I figured it's a house that we'd be in for several years, so I can do things as funds are available, but what's the most logical place to start? Walls or floor?
