Picked up a beginner welder (115v, 140A) on black Friday! :D What would be a descent helmet to go with it? I only intend to do basic MIG on steel and some stainless exhaust work, but i do want quality that will last. Is auto darkening money well spent?

Auto darkening is a must. This isn't the 80's anymore. No more lining up your rod then flipping the lid down. (Remember that?). Some pipeliners still like the shaded lenses.

Miller is good. I used the "Digital Elite" for years. I just switched over to a Jackson and I like the Jackson better. It feels lighter and is more comfortable. To me, anyway.

i had a miller digital elite that i got for free through work and loved it, unfortunately a tire ended up falling on it and destroying it right after i sold another miller pro hobby. now my main one is a Hobart, same setup as the slightly more expensive miller hobby helmets with a larger lens viewing area, comfortable headgear and i like the shape of the helmet over my miller helmets. only $100 and i have since bought a spare incase i have a second set of hands in the shop. i would definitely recommend them.
