ok i need to source these parts out its from a carpet machine and used to make a constant spark or arc between two electrodes to ignite diesel fuel, supplier says there pricy and hard to come by but they must be used in something else out there...the part i need is the orange one in pic with old part # on box the other is wht it fits into. thks again .

I expected them to be similar to diesel heater igniters, boy was I wrong! Those look like they'll be hard to find.

Also curious about a diesel-fueled carpet machine with igniters that big :)

Have you checked with a furnas repair shop? That looks like an ignition coil from an oil frunas.

The part on the right looks like a Wico or Fairbanks magneto, in fact that is indeed what it is, just gotta figure out which brand it is and then google "magneto repair".
Parts should be reasonably easy to get.

Well (it) the machine it self runs on gas, the burner which makes the steam runs on kero or diesel, yes it is a fairbanks case that the magneto is in out the 2 plug holes are wires that get hooked to an electrode left and right.
