Looking at ordering a cart tomorrow, and I've been racking my brain for weeks deciding on a cart vs a KRA4107 & top chest.

My main question is, which do you prefer and why (43 vs 246 cart)?

I personally like the sliding top of the 43 better, as I can have work sitting on the lid, and still access the top compartment. However, I have heard someone mention the 20" deep 43 is a "lot more" tippy than the 24" deep 246... I don't plan on adding bigger wheels or putting swivel casters on all 4 corners, so I'm not sure tippy will be an issue (I mean the KRA roll cabs are 20"D and you can make them a lot more top heavy than the carts are).

Also, if I get one of the carts with the black bedliner coating on the top lid(s), does the cart come with black drawer guards?

Thanks!!

My 243 is not tippy at all and the top's loaded with sockets. If you'll be using it as a cart and moving it to where you're working, the sliding top is awesome. Where would you put parts down with a flip top? What about a service manual? Great place for tools you're using instead of opening drawers all the time.

Be nice if the drawers were 4" deeper though.

Placed my order for the sliding top 43 today (orange with black bedliner lid coating). Fingers crossed they get it right!
