In the last week while going to work my car has been grabbing in the front . It feels like I'm hitting a lcy patch and then hitting a dry patch . But it only happens when I'm going uphill. I just got my front brakes changed last week too. Would the brakes be the problem ? But when I brake it's fine there's no jumping just when I go uphill.

A other thing is I don't drop in RPM . I'm puzzled on this one :headscrat . Anyway thanks everyone .

There's some noise from the front . It only does it when I go 70 to 100 km/h . It can get violent at times . Can tires play a part in it ?

I would first attend to the fact that you've mentioned you had your brakes changed recently....make sure ur calipers/brackets/pads are mounted securely, also something simple to look into you might want to check if the lug nuts have been torqued properly.... hope this helps...make sure you sort it out before it escalates into a much bigger problem possibly involving a collision where you rear end someone or else....

My car is making a sound. Any ideas on what it could be?

Please be specific....

Oh, and it does stuff also, under different circumstances.

Here's a good question, did you have this problem before your brake change or did it start after?
What make and model of car or truck r we talking? This info is essential to diagnose and even then it's hard not having the vehicle in front of us.

Not a lot of info to go on, but I might suggest a sticking brake caliper. Had it on my car and sounds like similar symptoms.

Not to sound like an *** but this sounds like something that is over your head. I would recommend taking it to a local trusted mechanic.

Take it back to the shop that did the brakes - pronto. It sounds like something may be loose. Don't risk an accident and injury to yourself or others.

If the check engine lamp is flashing then there is a catalyst damaging misfire. You need to take your vehicle to a mechanic and have them diagnose the sympton. What you described is an exact description of an ignition misfire. The mechanic should check the secondary ignition components along with the ICM. If the code is a specific cylinder misfire than most likely it is a less expensive item; ie spark plug or plug wires. If it is random or two paired cylinders then it can become a little more pricey like a coil or ICM. I agree with Iroc and recommend that you take the vehicle to a reputable shop. Good luck.

oops...forgot to mention that it could also be a fuel pump. A good mechanic should test multiple aspects of the engine performance including the base engine(valves, timing chain, etc;), the ignition system, engine management, and fuel system...etc; An online forum is the worst way to diagnose a vehicle. Good luck.
