Help Cleanup Transmission Fluid staining Garage Floor.

Apparently, somebody placed lot of junk right on top of 2 full jugs of my Chrysler transmission fluid all over the concrete floor in the garage.

It's pretty well soaked into the floor. Is there anything that can clean this? Or, is it just something I have to learn to live with?

Start with powder detergent for clothes. Pour it on and grind it in with your foot. Make sure you have a heavy coating and let it sit. It will draw quite a bit out. Grind with foot every so often.

I like using the orange hand cleaner and a stiff bristle brush.
Scrub, let sit, rinse, scrub, rinse....repeat

Greased Lightening, straight. Rub in with push broom. Don't waste time scrubbing hard. Let dry over night (if the area is in bright sunshine, wait until the sun moves so that it does not dry out too quick). Rinse with a garden hose. Let dry and repeat if necessary.

Used to use stuff like pet ether, ethyl chloride and 1-1-triclor and stuff that actually worked. Today?

Detergents, isopropyl alcohol, finally acetone . Rinse and repeat each step. Bentonite powder pull lots of things from concrete. Some of the microbes used for oil spills work . Hot water pressure sprayer. Emulsifiers like hand cleaner. D-limonene. TSP. Borax.

The stain will wick up again. Repeat whatever worked the first time.

After doing this make up a paste with the detergent and automatic dishwasher powder and water then let it dry. This will draw out the oil.

Pour and Restore works well on ATF stains. Ace Hardware has it last I checked
