help decide on a compressor

Looking at 2 from Lowes and Menards for my sons garage. He has gift cards for these places and would like to us them for ita purchase..
He will use it for general repair running impacts, die grinders ,sanders and some painting.

we have found reviews on the kobalt, but the sanborn have not found a lot on it.

Any help/thoughts or owners of either compressors?

have you looked at them in the store? motor looks reversed in the pics, but may be the same unit. check brand of motor and either china or india pump. i mentioned it in another thread, but the cambell unit from tractor supply will probably match those units.
the kobalt is nice at another 20 pounds of pressure, but probably taxes that smaller motor.

My buddy bought the Sanborn one a little while ago (6-8months) nice compressor but a little on the loud side for me. I haven't heard the others but I do say for the money its hard to beat the Sanborn. If you want to match the Kobalt look at Fleet Farm/ Farm and Fleet at the Magna Force compressors same MFG as Sanborn but higher pressure.
