So I pulled the trigger on some Hyperikon LED tubes during a 25% off sale.

I ended up getting two cases of 24 4ft 18W single end clear 4000k tubes.

I'm wondering if anybody has a good idea for hanging these without using ballasts?

They already have reflectors and interior supports built in. So buying ballasts to hold them really seems like a waste.

Thats not what a ballast is. What holds the bulbs is a lampholder, which is typically part if a fixture. Strip light fixture, wraparound fixture, recessed troffer etc.

Using a direct wire bulb without a fixture seems pretty dangerous to me. LED ready fixtures are cheap anyways. Why did you buy bulbs without fixtures?

I purchased them without fixtures because they had the exact specs I was looking for. Most all of the led fixtures with bulbs installed required me to make some sort of sacrifice to the light quality I was after.

These are made in the USA, and they offer a 5 year warranty with free returns. That's also the reason I can't modify them.

I'm really looking for simple endcaps that would allow two lights to hang side by side

I'm seriously thinking of just making them myself at this point.

Any updates?

The OP bought bulbs to go in a fixture and then foolishly wants to mount them bare. Why didn't he ask for advice from someone on this forum before he bought the wrong item?

I guess it is all so simple when you have no clue.........
