Hey guys, I am going to be coating this concrete with a base epoxy, full broadcast color chips, then clear epoxy. The concrete has a pretty rough surface with a lot of rock in it as you can see. Is this something that can be handled by grinding, or is there something else that I should be doing first?

Looks salt etched. Yes you can grind this surface. Be sure to prime before coating.

I have a similar looking concrete floor. I'm planning on having a company come in and do Epoxy coating on floor. They will sand / grind old floor first. My question is I have a few low spots on floor can I use a floor leveler to build up low spots ? If yes, Should I do this like 45 or 60 days before Epoxy company comes ? Last would it be worth while to put a primer on top of old floor and spread a layer of leveler over all of floor like you might do before tiling ?
OP the company that gave me a estimate uses the Penntek Coatings Systems.

This a pretty rough floor, suggest grinding it reasonably smooth first. Even a full broadcast won't hide this without some significant prep work.
