I need a new drill, and want to go with the m12 line. i currently have the m12 ratchet and m12 fuel 3/8" impact, I would like to eventually switch to milwaukee entirely (have a dewalt hex impact and light).

I can get a kit with 2 2.0ah batteries 1 3ah battery, the milwaukee hex impact driver, and 3/8" drill, both are not fuel, for $140

Or I can the m12 fuel 1/2" drill with a 2ah and 3ah battery for $150.

So basically for $10 more I'm getting an a fuel version that is 1/2" vs 3/8", one less battery and no hex impact. I'd jump on the combo kit if it was the 1/4" impact which is what I really want though I suppose the the hex impact would do, plus it'd free up one of my dewalt batteries (have 2 total for the light and impact)

decisions, decisions...

IMHO

if you're gonna be using this day in, day out, all day long, go with the fuel versions. the extended run time is worth the added cost.

if for occasional homeowner/DIY use you'll probably be satisfied with the nonfuel versions.

personally i have a fuel 3/8" dr impact, 4.0 batteries, & 12v nonfuel 3/8" drill and flashlight.
