The compressor motor is three-phase 208-230V, with a Locked Rotor Amps of 278 and an RLA (essentially FLA, Full Load Amperage) of 33.7A, a little over 10HP.

Well That saved me 2K, Thanks!! for the Faster than ever expected response. Any Idea what a Phase converter would Set me Back to Power something like this up? It Is a Complete System with air handler, heat etc. I Guess another Phase converter would be needed for air handler?

im not an expert on phase converters, but i think you would really need to oversize it due to the hard starting nature of a/c compressors. This is one instance where you should just get the piece of equipment that matches the available power supply.

It appears the fan motor on the condenser is single phase, according to the tag. It would be my guess the air handler blower motor could also be single phase.

I don't see why you couldn't run that unit on a phase converter, probably in the neighborhood of a 20HP to 30HP. However, it would have to run 24/7 to keep the air conditioner supplied with power when the thermostat called for the compressor. The phase converter, if purchased new, would cost around double what you say you can get the air conditioner for and will add about $2.40 to your power bill every day it runs, whether loaded or not.

Thanks again for the Help, I guess I will try and see what the largest AC units I can get on Single Phase would be. I could do 2 Brand new EBay 5 ton Systems wth air Handlers etc. for the end cost of getting this Other Deal going. And Thats what I needed to know. Thanks
