help finding a breaker

I am installing a 10HP 3P water pump in my garage, it is driven by a 20HP VFD. The manual for the VFD calls for an “earth-leakage breaker”, now I believe that is a GFCI. Now here’s my problem, I can’t find a 100 AMP 240 volt GFCI.

So can anyone direct me to a place where I can find this elusive breaker?

FYI use a Siemens box

i think your looking for a two pole gfic breaker... not so sure your going to find a single pole 100 amp.... you may try a pool and spa specialized service breaker...

I've never seen a VFD on anything but a regular breaker(and I've seen a LOT of VFD's), I wonder what makes yours so special? What brand is your drive?

LOL, that's what I was wondering. I was just reading the manual and it mentions it more than once. I would rather use a regular breaker, but since I am the guy that is going to be working around this thing, I want to be safe as possible.

it's a HITACHI L700-150LFF

probably not a GFCI but 30ma GFEP. The manual is probably for another country originally where such things are more common when their voltages are 220v to ground. I would just put it on a regular breaker.

thanks, that's what i will do. I looked and looked and I don't think a 2 pole 100 amp GFCI is even made.

thanks again everybody
