Help finding a fan motor

The fan motor on my late 70s heat pump unit is failing. I'm having some difficulty finding a replacement.
GE part number 5KCP39PGD8318
3/4 hp, 1075 rpm, 200-230VAC.
It's a 3 legged mount off the opposite end.

Any help to point me towards a replacement would be appreciated!

Most probably the motor was a special run GE did for the manufacturer. Once the inventories run out, you've gotta improvise.

Any standard 230 v motor will work. Just get a 3/4 HP 1075 RPM and then a belly band mount like this and add it. Should be able to find a band mount that will line up the way you need it.

^^This.^^ GE used to make OEM stuff for lots of companies. Problem was they were a LOT more expensive, even when they were still available. I used to keep a bunch of "universal" motors and mounts on the truck. I must have done hundreds...

I've tried both at my local motor shop - they smirk and and shake their heads "can't do that".

Just curious, was it a GE Weathertron heat pump? I had trouble finding a fan motor for one I had a few years ago.

Those things were tanks, lasted forever.

I deal with universal electric motor shop and they can match any pump or motor as long as there is some kind of data tag on the motor. See if a universal motors is nearby. Ever consider getting new bearings and rebuilding yourself?

you might try a hvac supply house for the motor they might not sell to you.
you probably cant get the exact motor but you can get one and add dog ears to it that will bolt on with a band.
